Live scoring launching today!
We're excited to announce the launch of live league scoring for our Seattle Squash League. If you have an Android device, you'll be able to use this tonight. iPhone users will unfortunately have to wait as we are waiting for Apple to finish reviewing the update to the Score Squash app.
What's the main benefit of this? When you use the app to score a league match, the results get instantly saved in to SportyHQ. This means your teammates can follow the action in real time online if they're not at the courts, and it also means results get updated right away, so your captain no longer has to go and manually input the results later.
Here's how it works:
If you haven't already, please download the free Score Squash (by SportyHQ) app from either of these links:
Once you open the app, login using your SportyHQ credentials.
Click on the "+" sign in the upper right side of the Matches screen and then click "Browse My Events". The app should show your Seattle Squash League team, and then you'll be able to select the current round.
On the next screen, enter in the details for the match that you're marking. Make sure you set the correct "position" number for the match. You'll also be able to choose the players and if you're using Par 11 or Pas (Point-a-serve / HiHo) scoring.
From there it should be fairly straightforward. At the end of the match, the results should automatically go online.
It doesn't matter if only a couple of league results are scored using the app. The remaining matches can still be entered by your captain (or opposing team's captain), so it's still a time saver.
This is definitely still a feature in beta and we'd appreciate any feedback you have. If you notice any problems, please let us know and thank you in advance for your support. We hope you enjoy this new functionality!
